Sommelier Suggests

Dominus 2003 is a vintage from a very long growing season. The beautiful fall weather permitted the prolonged hang time, allowing the fruit to develop its complexity. This is a complex blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Sweet nose of roasted coffee, Provencial herbs, black currants, cherry jam, plums, and allspice create a spicy, rich, full-bodied, fragrant, intense wine. The tannins are sweet, but noticeable. This wine is more similar to a great Bordeaux and, as such, drinkable until 2025. Robert Parker gave it a score of 95.

A great drink alone to savor or pair with a great steak.

Etude Pinot Noir Carneros 08 begins with a beautiful true ruby color and aromas of strawberries and aromatic woods such as sandalwood and cedar. The palate introduces an elegant fruit of berry, plum and cherry. Brown spice, clove, and oak toast finish on the swallow. This is a medium textured Pinot with complexity and beautiful texture. Drinkable until 2014. Robert Parker score of 91.

An amazing Pinot Noir to begin any party.

Elderton Barossa Command Single Vineyard Shiraz 2002 had a mild summer and a very dry and mild Autumn, ensuring long hang times and amazing natural acidity. The nose shows ripe plum, chocolate, cedar and spices. The palate is complex and well balanced with a rich dark chocolate, plum, and a smooth and long finish.

This is a great cellar wine and should be aged up to 2018. We’ve already helped you out a bit, so it’s ready to drink today.
